Overnight Spot Treatment?

Anyone experiencing an acne breakout who wishes to clear blemishes overnight should use this potent spot treatment. It is well tolerated by sensitive skinned individuals but not for use by people who are allergic to benzoyl peroxide.

Do NOT shake the bottle! At night, after cleansing face, dip a clean cotton swab or Q-tip into pink sediment at bottom of bottle and apply directly on the blemish. Do not rub in. Let it dry and rinse off in the morning. Because of drying effect, limit application to only one application in a 24 hour period. Be sure to apply only the pink sediment to the blemish.

Before applying your makeup, try one of these tricks recommended by Dr. Loretta Ciraldo.. Ice the spot for 5 to 10 minutes to decrease swelling and redness. Then, apply an acne treatment like our Acne Spot Treatment. Another option? Cover the blemish with a hydrocortisone cream, like Cortaid Maximum Strength Cream, $8, drugstores. This should significantly reduce the swelling, “just like it would if the dermatologist gave you a shot of cortisone in the pimple,” Dr. Ciraldo explains. If you’re treating the zit before bed, slap a Band-Aid on to keep the cream in place!
