Salicylic Face & Body Wash?
This refreshing cell exfoliating cleanser is perfect for those with acne-prone skin, as we know that acne starts
with a clogged pore. It utilizes non-comedogenic foaming ingredients to help reduce acne breakouts, and is also
very effective at removing the dead cell layer of dry-skinned people exposing the youthful, glowing skin
underneath.
Apply a dab to hand, wet sponge, or wash cloth. Work up rich foam and cleanse face and other areas that are
prone to breakouts including shoulders, bikini area, chest, back and neck. We suggest applying it with the
hand, but if you prefer to use a washcloth or sponge, be sure to wash it once a week in chlorinated bleach to
be sure that there isn’t bacterial overgrowth. Rinse off with cool/lukewarm water.
Note for those with severe acne: New, Higher-Strength Differin Available
Those struggling with prescription treatment options to manage acne may have tried Differin (Adapalene) at some point. This synthetic retinoid, which some find more tolerable than tretinoin (Retin-A), was previously available at only a single concentration of 0.1%. The FDA approved a stronger, 0.3%, version of this drug and it has been available for prescribing since July (Source: www.happi.com).
The new, higher-strength Differin is indicated for use by those battling moderate to severe acne. It is conceivable that the incidence and potential severity of side effects may increase with this stronger dose—but preapproval research has shown it to be more effective than the 0.1% concentration for keeping acne-prone skin clear, while measuring about the same level of side effects.
